With patent-pending Vibrating Mesh technology, the solution is evaporated and then forced through a vibrating mesh to create salt particles between 1-10 microns in size.

What is the difference between Halo One and using saline nasal washes?

Liquid salt therapy involves the use of a salt solution in water, such as saline irrigation, sprays, or inhalation of salt vapor.

Although these methods can provide temporary relief by clearing the upper respiratory tract, their effectiveness is limited.

Salt particles, being liquid, are larger and heavier, so they cannot penetrate deep into the lungs and nasal cavities, where toxins and germs accumulate.

In contrast, dry halotherapy produces extremely fine salt particles (1-5 micrometers) that can penetrate deep into the respiratory system, reaching the alveoli of the lungs.

These tiny particles have powerful anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help remove toxins and reduce inflammation throughout the respiratory system.

Although the HALO ONE device uses a saline solution (water + salt), it uses a specialized vibrating mesh technology to produce micron-sized salt particles (1–10 microns) that are dispersed into the air and are essentially dry when inhaled (fine salt aerosols), so the end result is the same as traditional dry salt therapy (i.e., inhalation of dry salt particles).

Suitable for use in small enclosed spaces

To achieve a therapeutic salt concentration in the space, we recommend using the device in rooms up to 9.5 m2 in area.

The HALO ONE is not designed for high humidity areas such as swimming pools or steam rooms. Use in these conditions could affect performance and longevity. High humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological organisms in the environment.

Also suitable for use in an infrared sauna

The HALO ONE® can be used in an infrared sauna up to a maximum temperature of 60°C for no more than one continuous hour.

The HALO ONE® unit is not designed for continuous use in the sauna and should be removed after each use if the sauna is used for multiple sessions per day.

Caution: the HALO ONE® device cannot be used simultaneously with the Red Light Therapy (RLT) phototherapy tower as it is sensitive to salt.

Long battery life

There's no need to install or replace batteries — the unit uses only an internal rechargeable battery that is charged with the USB cable and adapter.

Battery life when fully charged is ~700 minutes (full charge to full discharge).

Full recharge time is ~4 hours and 40 minutes (0% to 100%).

You can use the device while it is plugged into the outlet.

The unit turns off after 1 minute of inactivity when unplugged to save battery power.

Simple way to use

Charge the device by opening the rubber cover covering the charging port and connecting the USB-C cable to the adapter and the power outlet.

The unit is charging when the battery level indicator is flashing. When the unit is fully charged, the charging indicator will turn off and the battery level indicator will stop flashing.

Place a saline capsule in the special port.

To turn on HALO ONE®, press and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds.

Press the POWER button again and the unit will begin a 20-minute salt therapy session (with remaining time displayed).

Once the capsule is finished, the device will stop automatically.

HALO ONE replacement capsules

HALO ONE refill capsules contain 20 mL of 3% medical grade saline each, sealed and ready to use.

Each capsule provides the optimal salt to water ratio, pre-measured by the manufacturer. Use only saline capsules supplied by HALO ONE®. Use of other solutions may adversely affect functionality and cause damage to the device.

Each 20 mL saline capsule is intended for a typical 20-minute salt therapy session.

The device is calibrated so that a full capsule is aerosolized in approximately 20 minutes, matching the typical duration of a dry salt therapy treatment. After the session, the capsule is emptied and discarded.

If you try to reuse a partially used capsule later, the session will not start (the status indicator will flash blue and the empty container indicator will light up) because the salt concentration will no longer be optimal to start the treatment.

Why is HALO ONE® set for 20 minutes of use?

Inhaled dry salt particles work best when they have time to reach both the upper and lower respiratory tract.

The first 5-10 minutes mainly cover the upper airways (nose, throat).

The next 10 minutes allow the finer particles (1-5 µm) to travel deeper into the bronchioles and alveoli.

After ~20 minutes, your mucous membranes are already saturated with salt and the benefit curve flattens out.

In the final minutes, the density of the aerosol naturally decreases because there is less liquid left in the capsule. This acts as a “soft landing” for your airways — avoiding a sudden transition from high particle concentration to zero.

Can I use it continuously for more than 20 minutes?

We recommend that you do not extend sessions to> 20 minutes (e.g. by adding another capsule) and that you leave at least 6-12 hours between sessions to avoid over-drying your airways.

More salt isn't always better — too much can be irritating rather than healing.

Maintenance instructions

• With normal use, HALO ONE® should not cause problems in the room environment.
• However, fine salt particles can have a corrosive effect on various materials, such as metal, concrete and electronic devices. These objects may be damaged as a result and should not be left near the HALO ONE® during operation.
• We recommend that care be taken to cover, seal and/or remove any electronic equipment or objects that could be affected by fine salt particles and that surfaces in the room where the unit is operating are regularly cleaned and vacuumed to remove any salt dust.
• With the fan button you can increase the production of salt particles. If humidity occurs in the room, reduce the power of the humidifier. Do not let absorbent materials, such as carpets, curtains, drapes or tablecloths, get wet.
• Remove the device from the infrared sauna when not in use to prevent unnecessary heat exposure.
• Do not leave water in the tank when the Halo One is not in use.
• After each use, clean the unit with the special brush to maintain its performance and longevity. Avoid touching the center of the mesh, as it can be easily damaged.
• It is recommended to clean the water tank every three days. Use a clean soft cloth with neutral detergent or lukewarm water to clean the capsule holder opening.
• Do not immerse the unit in water. Do not touch or press the metal outlet nozzle with excessive force.
• If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, unplug the power adapter and charging cable if connected, remove the saline capsule case and empty all saline remaining in the unit, leave the unit open overnight to dry the internal parts, and then store the unit in a place free from high temperatures or humidity.

Precautions - Contraindications

Salt therapy is a gentle and safe treatment.

There are usually no side effects other than a salty taste and possibly thirst or a scratchy throat.

Increased coughing and abundant secretions are considered therapeutic because they lead to clearing of the respiratory tract.

Cases of skin irritation are rare and usually resolve within 2-5 sessions. The same applies to cases of conjunctivitis, due to irritation of the mucous membrane (it is recommended to keep your eyes closed when in the salt room).

However, if someone is taking any medication or suffering from a serious medical problem, as well as during pregnancy, please seek medical advice before any treatment. Also, children are recommended to use it with adult supervision.

Not recommended for people with fever, open wounds and serious heart/kidney diseases without medical advice, in severe cases of chronic lung disease, hyperthyroidism, active tuberculosis, acute respiratory disease, high-grade hypertension, neurological disorders, epilepsy, brain dysfunctions, neurological infections and brain trauma, serious infections, acute hematological disorders, infectious diseases, malignant diseases, respiratory system cancer and people with severe depression, neurosis, claustrophobia.
