You've decided - You're going to invest in your health by installing a Clearlight infrared sauna in your space!
Before you proceed with the purchase, check that your space meets all the required specifications.
Below we explain in detail all the points you need to pay attention to.

Floor
The floor must be flat and stable.
For outdoor saunas, the floor/base should be sturdy, e.g. made of cement or wood. There should also be water drainage or a sloped floor to protect against standing water (the wood should not touch water).
Space dimensions
There must be enough space to accommodate the sauna. It is recommended to leave at least 5 cm of space around the back and sides of the sauna and at least 30 cm of space from the ceiling. There also needs to be a space at the front, at least the size of the door opening.
For outdoor saunas, if placed in a semi-enclosed/confined space, a 10 cm gap around the perimeter is recommended.
See below the dimensions of each sauna, the recommended minimum dimensions for each model and the brochure with the detailed characteristics of the sauna, which shows the design of each sauna and confirm that the dimensions and shape of the sauna you choose fits your space.

Sauna assembly
Assembling the Clearlight infrared sauna is quick and easy. No technical knowledge is required. Each infrared sauna is pre-wired and precision-engineered for easy connection.
If you wish to do it yourself, assembly requires 2 people and takes 2-4 hours. No special tools are required, just a screwdriver.
In case you do not want to do the assembly yourself, Home Wellness collaborates with an external workshop.
The price given to us by the cooperating workshop in Attica for the assembly of a Clearlight sauna is 200-250€+VAT.

Transportation of sauna boxes
The sauna is delivered in boxes at street level (usually arrangements can be made with the shipping company for delivery to a floor at an additional charge).
In case you have agreed with the cooperating workshop for the assembly of the sauna, please note that the workshop does not undertake the transport of the sauna to a floor. It will transport the boxes to assemble them on site only if it is a very short distance (e.g. ground floor space near the delivery point).
Alternatively, you should have made arrangements with carriers/moving company - the carrier will usually have informed you 7 days before delivery about the exact delivery day.
Home Wellness can recommend a transportation company to pick up the boxes from the curbside and transport them to the customer's desired floor or space. You should contact them and inform them of the dimensions and weights of the boxes and the exact delivery date as early as possible so that they can schedule the visit to coincide with the delivery and the boxes can be transported directly to the space without remaining on the curbside.
Some pieces are large/heavy and will require 2 people to transport to the site. For some boxes/panels (especially outdoor) with very high weight (>100kg) 3 people and/or a professional workshop/transportation aid (straps, trolley, lift, etc.) are recommended, depending on the route (stairs/curves/narrow spaces).
If you want to pass the pieces through stairs, doors, windows and various types of openings, you can read below about the minimum required dimensions of the openings for the sauna pieces to pass through. Due to dimensions, the largest box of each model will often not be able to be transported to a floor via the stairs, so the use of a lifting machine will be required.

Door/opening dimensions
In order for the sauna pieces to fit to the assembly point, either the largest box/packaging (if you do not want to unpack outside the sauna room), or the largest panel (if you unpack and transport the panels without their box), must fit.
First, measure the narrowest passage from the street to the room where the sauna will be installed (door/corridor/elevator) the clear width × clear height (without frames).
If the clear width × height of the opening is greater than the 2 dimensions (width × height) of the largest piece as you will pass it (box or panel), then there will usually be no problem passing it, as long as the route does not have very tight turns.
Alternatively, the door height must be sufficient to allow at least the 2nd largest dimension of the piece to pass through, assuming there is room to carry/maneuver the piece so that the largest dimension passes horizontally and not vertically (consider all passages up to the point of installation and consider whether there is room for 90° turns on stairs, elevators, ramps, etc.).
e.g. for the Sanctuary 1 sauna, the dimensions of the largest piece are 190x122x10cm, so even a door with a height of 122 cm is sufficient, if we hold the piece in such a way that 190 cm can pass horizontally (assuming there is space for safe handling/maneuvering/90° turns to the installation point).
In the list below you will see the 3 dimensions (length×width×thickness) of the largest panel (and the largest box – in case you don't want to or can't unpack) per model, so you can check your opening either upright or sideways.

Available socket / connection point
The infrared sauna must be connected directly to a fixed socket/supply (wall) or to a permanent connection by an electrician (depending on the model).
It is not recommended to use a power strip, adapter or extension cord for normal operation.
Cable length and socket location
The power cable starts from the back left part of the sauna.
For indoor models, a power outlet/supply within 2.4 m is required.
For outdoor models, the cable is 1.8 m.
If the existing socket is further away, do not rely on extension cords: prefer to have a new supply installed by an electrician.
An extension cord/multi-socket may be used temporarily only for test operation - for a short test/function check (not for regular use). Only a heavy-duty extension cord with grounding is allowed, cable 3×2.5 mm², rated resistance 16A, fully unwound (not coiled), as short as possible, without passing under carpets/doors and away from moisture/water. If the plug/socket becomes hot or “smells”, stop immediately.
Access to socket/connection point for isolation
Make sure there is easy access to the disconnection point (plug/isolator) so that you can turn off the sauna immediately if necessary. For hardwire installations, there should be an isolator switch in a nearby and accessible location.
Electrical requirements
See below the electrical requirements (consumption, cable type, etc.) for each sauna model.
If you add additional accessories to the sauna (e.g. 300 watt True Wave II™ full spectrum mini heater or 200W red light therapy tower) you will need to factor in these consumptions as well.
Before connecting, it is recommended that the installation be checked by a licensed electrician, so that the line, protection and connections are correctly dimensioned according to applicable standards.
If you want an electrician to check your electrical installation, you can call the electrician working with Home Wellness, who can visit your premises at an indicative cost of ~40-50€ (depending on distance, electrical installation, etc. - the cost is deducted from subsequent electrical work, if required). In case work is required, a cost estimate is ~80-250€ (depending on distance, type of panel, installation - the electrician will give you a quote depending on the case).
The space should have a good grounding (real/functional, not “approximately”), a 30 mA residual current device (RCD) on the panel, a suitable circuit breaker/fuse and correct connections (clamps) and ideally a dedicated line for the sauna or at least a circuit that is not shared with other major consumptions (kitchen, water heater, washing machines, air conditioners, heaters, etc.).
The models operate on 230 V single-phase. If there is a three-phase supply in the property, the sauna is powered by one phase, with independent protection/line where required.
Contact Home Wellness if you would like us to recommend a partner electrician to check your installation before purchasing a sauna.
SAUNAS INTERNAL SPACE FOR 1,2 AND 3 PEOPLE
Sanctuary Pro 1 person (Power 230 V, 2150 W, Plug type 16A Type F / 2.45m length, electrical wire requirements 20 amp saunas are 12 AWG Single phase /3 wire: live/neutral/ground - for 230v)
Sanctuary Pro 2 people (Power 230 V, 2650 W, Plug type 16A Type F / 2.4m length, electrical wire requirements 20 amp saunas are 12 AWG Single phase /3 wire: live/neutral/ground - for 230v)
Sanctuary Pro 3 people (Power 230 V, 3100 W, Plug type 16A Type F / 2.45m length, electrical wire requirements 20 amp saunas are 12 AWG Single phase /3 wire: live/neutral/ground - for 230v)
These models have a type F (Schuko) 16A plug and can be connected to a Schuko socket.
Indicative consumption ( at 230V):
• Pro 1 (2150W): ~9.4A
• Pro 2 (2650W): ~11.5A
• Pro 3 (3100W): ~13.5A
The socket/line should not be “loaded” with other large appliances. For the best and safest result, it is recommended (where possible) to have a separate line for the sauna, after checking with an electrician.
SAUNAS INTERNAL YOGA ROOM AND CORNER
Yoga 4 persons (Power 230 V, 3970 W, Plug type 4 mm power cord without plug / 2.4m length, 20 amp saunas are 12 AWG, Single phase / 3 wire: 2 x live/ground - for 230v)
Corner 3-4 persons (Power 230 V, 3750 W, Plug type 4 mm power cord without plug / 2.4m length, 20 amp saunas are 12 AWG, Single phase / 3 wire: 2 x live/ground - for 230v)
The Yoga and Corner models are coming with cable power supply without ready plug (4 mm power cord without plug - bare ends ).
This means that the connection must be made by a licensed electrician, either as a permanent connection (hardwire) to a suitable junction box/isolation switch, or by installing a suitable socket/plug of sufficient rated current (where required), according to the electrician's study.
Indicative consumption (at 230V):
• Yoga (3970W): ~17.3A
• Corner (3750W): ~16.3A
The Yoga and Corner models require a new line from the panel with a 3×4 mm² cable, a 20A fuse (or according to an electrician's study), other devices with high consumption (e.g. kitchen, washing machine, air conditioners, etc.) should not be connected to the same fuse and terminated either as a permanent connection (hardwire) to a suitable connection box/isolation switch, or to a socket/plug of suitable nominal current that the electrician will determine.
SAUNAS FOREIGN SPACE FOR 2 AND 5 PEOPLE
Outdoor 2 persons (Power 230 V, 2400 W, Plug type 16A Commando Plug / 1.8m length)
Outdoor 5 persons (Power 230 V, 3650 W, Plug type 32A Commando Plug / 1.8m length)
Outdoor models have an industrial plug (IEC 60309 / “Commando”) for use in outdoor environments and do not connect to a regular household outlet.
Although the Outdoor 5 has a ~15.9A consumption, it comes with a 32A plug, so it requires a 32A socket and an installation that will be designed accordingly by an electrician.
Installation by an electrician is required:
• new line from the panel (ideally dedicated),
• RCD 30 mA, proper grounding and appropriate microcircuit breaker/protection,
• industrial socket corresponding to the plug (16A or 32A), with an appropriate degree of tightness for outdoor use (e.g. IP67 where necessary),
• cable/routing suitable for outdoor use (e.g. type H07RN-F or equivalent, where required).
Indicative consumption (at 230V):
• Outdoor 2 (2400W): ~10.5A
• Outdoor 5 (3650W): ~15.9A
