Huge lifespan of heating panels
Clearlight's True Wave™ full spectrum carbon/ceramic hybrid panels have an estimated lifespan of 30,000 hours.
Using your sauna 5 times a week, True Wave™ heating panels can last up to 125 years!
Special wood treatment to increase lifespan
All Clearlight sauna cabins are both kiln and air dried to a moisture content of 7% and then each panel is pressed to ensure a lifetime without warping or cracking.
High production quality
All Clearlight electrical components are manufactured to strict standards and once the sauna leaves production at our factory, it is adjusted, tested and operated to ensure it is in excellent working order.
Clearlight technological innovations
As pioneers in infrared technology, Clearlight ® Saunas holds four different patents for the technology it uses.
Low EMI (infrared) sauna room. Patent number: US 9078803 B2
Electromagnetic Wave Reduction Heater Patent Number: US 9,844,100
Infrared Therapy Chamber Patent Number: US 20120221080 A1
Rotating Control Panel Patent Number: US 20140191048 A1
The most impressive patented technology is True Wave® heater technology, which provides full-spectrum infrared heating.
Heating panels with True Wave® technology
Almost every other infrared sauna company uses industrial heaters that have been adapted for use in infrared saunas.
Clearlight manufactures its own patented infrared sauna heating panels.
True Wave™ infrared panels are the only ones on the market that combine both the high performance of ceramics with the long wavelength of carbon to produce a sauna session that is unparalleled.
The perfect infrared heater must take into account so many different specifications, such as emissivity, output power, surface temperature, micron wavelength, heat settings, quiet operation, and energy efficiency.
Clearlight's True Wave® infrared heating panels are the optimal balance of all these factors, making them the most energy efficient, highest energy heating element you could have in an infrared sauna.
Clearlight's True Wave® panels are the unique, patented fusion of carbon and ceramic panels.
There has been a heated debate over the past ten years about whether carbon heaters or ceramic heaters are “superior.” Carbon heaters produce long-wave infrared rays, but they do not produce much infrared heat energy. Ceramic heaters, on the other hand, emit a lot of infrared heat, but the wavelengths are shorter, therefore less therapeutic.
Clearlight® True Wave® technology ended the debate by introducing the unique combination of carbon and ceramic infrared heaters. This introduced infrared heaters to the market that maintain the same heat output as a ceramic heater, with the ultra-efficient heating and longer wavelengths of carbon heaters.
True Wave® infrared heaters operate using ultra-fine carbon fibers (1/1000 the thickness of a human hair) combined with our patented microfine ceramic composition for higher infrared thermal emission.
Each True Wave® heating panel is uniquely manufactured under specific conditions in the Clearlight® factory. The innovative process incorporated into thermostat conditions is what produces the highest thermal emission and efficiency of any other infrared heating device available.
The special process involves alternating layers of carbon/ceramic with layers of a woven substrate, which are combined under high heat and pressure settings. The infrared heater is then tested under power for several hours, measuring electrical energy, surface temperature and emitted electromagnetic fields (EMF) at twelve different points.
See below the spectral analysis of infrared heat emission from True Wave® heating panels:

And True Wave II® full spectrum heating panels
Clearlight saunas also include full-spectrum heating panels on the front, providing therapeutic benefits from the full spectrum of infrared heat.
True Wave II™ full spectrum heating panels incorporate all three wavelengths, near infrared, mid infrared and far infrared, all in one heating panel and established the term full spectrum infrared panels.
Clearlight Infrared® saunas use a special type of halogen bulb in their patented True Wave® full-spectrum heating panels, providing a wide range of infrared wavelengths, as well as powerful heat. Not only are they energy efficient to operate, but they also heat up quickly compared to other heaters.
See below the spectral analysis of infrared heat emission from full spectrum heating panels:

Possibility to add an additional True Wave II® full spectrum heating panel
The True Wave II™ Full Spectrum Mini Heater is a compact version of the True Wave II™ heaters you will find on the front of Sanctuary™ sauna models.
Providing an additional 300 watts of full-spectrum heat to your sauna will not only slightly increase the maximum temperature of your overall session, but will also provide better access to the therapeutic benefits of full-spectrum infrared radiation.
Heating panels also on the front
One of the keys to sweating and effectively detoxifying in an infrared sauna is warming up your entire body and especially your core.
Many saunas lack panels at the front, leaving your chest and abdomen cold and without any health benefits.
Clearlight saunas also have heating panels at the front of the cabin.
Heating panels at the correct height for maximum beneficial emission and head protection
Many saunas place the panels at a high height, which means more heat in the upper, unproductive part of the sauna, but also heat accumulation in the head, which is more sensitive to heat. This causes discomfort for many and results in shorter and less therapeutic sauna sessions.
Clearlight saunas place the heating panels at a higher height, avoiding useless heat generation and relieving headaches.
Heating for the feet too
Many saunas do not have heating under the feet, leaving them cold.
Clearlight saunas also have heating under the feet.
Low electromagnetic field infrared saunas
As a leading wellness company, your health and safety are our top priority.
Infrared heating panels usually emit high alternating electric and magnetic fields, which are best avoided due to possible health effects.
For example, magnetic fields of 300-400nT, which are common in infrared saunas, have been included by the World Health Organization as possible carcinogens, based on research showing a doubling of childhood leukemia.
Learn more about the dangers of elevated electromagnetic fields and how to measure them.
The exception is Clearlight infrared saunas!
As a pioneer in infrared sauna panels, Clearlight has achieved near-zero levels of low-frequency electric and magnetic fields, with patent-pending technology.
The exclusive manufacturing process includes the use of twisted cables to cancel out magnetic fields, running the cables through grounded metal conduits, shielding all electronic components with aluminum, and grounding the re-carbonized mesh covering the heating panels.
Clearlight is also the only manufacturer worldwide that provides data on electric and magnetic field levels, and not by chance, as typical magnetic fields in other saunas are usually 50-100 times greater!
According to measurements by the VitaTech Electromagnetics laboratory (USA), magnetic field levels range from 0-11nT and electric field levels from 0-8 V/m, values much lower than the recommended exposure limits.
These electromagnetic field values are measured directly on the heating panel. When you sit in the sauna, the levels are essentially zero.
In addition, Clearlight ® saunas are one of the few infrared saunas with electrical wiring that runs through a metal tube. This protects against electrical fields to ensure that your sauna is the safest there is. In addition to running the wiring through a metal tube, we also twist the wires, as this also reduces the magnetic field. Another exclusive for the Clearlight ® infrared sauna!
High quality and durability of wood
Clearlight ® saunas are made from the highest quality woods.
All constructions using wood are susceptible to minor dents, scratches and scuffs. This is normal and will not affect the integrity or function of your sauna.
Wood is a living material that continues to respond to climatic conditions, even after it has been built into a sauna. Variations in colour or grain and irregularities, such as fine cracks, are part of the natural beauty of wood and should in no way be considered defects. During normal operation, the wood may crack slightly due to changes in humidity levels. This will not affect the structural integrity of the sauna.
Before shipping, the wood is checked for texture, color and quality. Clearlight saunas are shipped worldwide and may develop minor imperfections, scratches or scuffs during shipping. In most cases, these imperfections on the exterior of the sauna can be covered by using a small amount of furniture polish, oil or other furniture treatment. Interior imperfections, scratches or scuffs can either be left as is or sanded down. Avoid any treatment containing benzene or high alcohol concentrations.
In infrared (and generally hot) saunas, the choice of wood is critical, because the environment has high temperature, humidity changes and requires materials that do not release resins or odors and do not deform easily.
We recommend avoiding lower quality or less durable wood types or imitations for saunas, such as woods that have a lot of resin (drip or smell at high temperatures), have high shrinkage and warping with humidity, are porous and stain easily, or have knots that can burst, such as Pine, Spruce, Eastern Red Cedar, low quality Poplar (Poplar from unselected cuts) and MDF, plywood or treated woods, because they release chemicals with heat.
The best woods for infrared saunas are those that have a low resin content, resistance to heat and moisture, a soft texture so as not to burn the skin, and dimensional stability, such as Canadian Hemlock (Canadian Spruce / Tsuga), Western Red Cedar (Western Red Cedar), Aspen (European Poplar), Basswood (Filyra / Tilia), Alder (Alder) and Okoume (Okoume).
Clearlight has previously used Western Red Canadian Cedar (WRCC).
However, the supply of cedar from sustainable forestry has become increasingly scarce, which prompted Clearlight to explore alternative woods that meet its high standards and end up with Okoume wood.
The characteristics that make Okoume wood a top choice for infrared saunas are as follows:
Sustainably Sourced Wood: Okoume wood comes from sustainably managed forests in North Africa, ensuring responsible forestry practices and ecological integrity - FSC certified.
High Durability and Moisture Resistance: Okoume wood is extremely durable and moisture resistant, rated at 405 on the Janka Hardness Scale, compared to Cedar's 320, ensuring that saunas remain flawless for decades.
Smooth Texture: The uniform fiber pattern provides a smooth surface and the hardness allows for smoother finishes.
Lighter Color: The lighter color and tones of Okoume complement modern aesthetics and interiors.
Low Resin Content: The low resin content gives Okoume a neutral aroma, making it ideal for those sensitive to strong odors.

International safety and non-toxicity certifications
Clearlight, a leading manufacturer in the infrared sauna field, has all the certifications (CE marking for the European Union, ETL and ETL-C for the United States and Canada, SAA Approval for Australia and New Zealand) that certify that their products comply with international health and safety requirements.

Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) confirms the ingredients used in our varnishes. Wood adhesives and sealants do not contain toxic or hazardous materials.
Certification for low volatile organic compounds (VOC)
Clearlight has designed and manufactured its saunas to be free of harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs). To verify this, it regularly uses third-party laboratories to perform rigorous VOC testing. Air samples are first tested in a clean room. The sauna is then set up and a second round of samples are taken. The sauna is then programmed to heat up and run at maximum temperature for over two hours, at which point another series of air samples are taken inside and outside the sauna. All results are then collated, compared and recorded. This ensures that there will be no volatile organic compounds (VOCs) during your sauna session.
RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Certificate
Our compliance with the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive is verified by RoHS standards and certified by Intertek.

The Benefits of Colors
Each color corresponds to a different spectrum of sunlight and offers its own unique benefits, allowing you to tailor your sauna experience to your needs.
Red (620-750nm)
Red is the first visible color we see after passing through the infrared band.
The color of vitality and energy. Red light is believed to stimulate blood circulation, increase heart rate, and give a sense of strength and alertness. It is ideal for fighting fatigue and boosting metabolism.

Orange (590-620nm)
A warm and cheerful color associated with creativity and optimism, orange can help treat mild depression, stimulate appetite, and promote a sense of sociability and happiness.
Orange has a liberating effect on the mind, relieving oppression.
Because orange is a mix of red and yellow, it combines physical energy with mental wisdom and helps with the assimilation of new ideas.
Orange is the best emotional stimulant, helping to remove inhibitions and promote independent social behavior.
Bring joy to your workday and boost your appetite for life.
Yellow (570-590nm)
The color of intellect and joy. Yellow light is associated with mental clarity, concentration, and decision-making.
Stimulating interest and curiosity, yellow light is associated with the ability to perceive or understand and connects us to our psychic self.
Green (495-570nm)
Green is the universal healing color.
It is the color of nature, offering a sense of renewal and peace.
Placed in the center of the spectrum, green promotes calm, reduces stress and helps balance the body and mind, giving a sense of renewal, peace and harmony.
Lately it has been widely used for the treatment of headaches and migraines (with green glasses).
Blue (450-495nm)
Blue light offers a sense of inner peace.
Blue is a very positive color and can be used for all kinds of ailments related to speech and communication.
Although some recommend it for relaxation before bed, studies show that blue light reduces or interrupts the production of melatonin, the hormone secreted at night that prepares us for sleep.
Violet (380-450nm)
Violet is the last color we can see before light passes into ultraviolet radiation.
The color of spirit and meditation, it is associated with higher consciousness, intuition and creativity.
It can help with spiritual upliftment, peace of mind, and inner search.
The color purple is also associated with increased libido and arousal, according to research on color in spaces like the bedroom. A study that analyzed the relationship between colors and sexual activity showed that purple is the color associated with the greatest sexual desire among participants, with couples who have purple in their bedroom having sex more often than other colors.
The positive effect of the color violet on libido is probably attributed to the sense of mystery, spirituality, and relaxation it evokes, helping with mental and physical relaxation, which is essential for amorous mood.
The color violet can be considered beneficial for stimulating libido, especially when applied in relaxation and healing environments, such as chromotherapy in an infrared sauna.
Incorporating chromotherapy into your infrared sauna is not just a luxury; it is a way to enhance the benefits of the sauna, targeting both your physical and mental well-being. Immerse yourself in the light, let the colors heal you, and turn each session into a unique, revitalizing experience.
Possibility of simultaneous red light therapy
Red light therapy is mainly used for anti-aging and dermatological problems, and research links it to faster wound healing, reduction of pain, psoriasis, herpes, wrinkles, scars, etc.
The Red Light Therapy Tower can be placed on the door of a Clearlight infrared sauna and powered from inside the sauna.
See more about the benefits of red light here.

Possibility of simultaneous salt therapy
Salt has been used for millennia for its health benefits and therapeutic effects.
In recent decades, salt therapy, which involves the inhalation of microparticles of salt, has spread rapidly and is an ideal treatment for mild and moderate forms of bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive bronchitis, post-pulmonary conditions and various other respiratory and skin diseases.
The insignificant side effects, combined with the conduct of this treatment in a warm environment, have a beneficial effect on the psycho-emotional state of adult patients and children.
Clinical studies have shown that when people inhale this salty air, their respiratory system is stimulated and inflammation, infections, and nasal blockages are reduced.
The HALO ONE® device has been designed and manufactured to provide beneficial salt therapy sessions in wellness areas, spas, treatment centers, in your home, bathroom or office, but also inside infrared saunas.
The HALO ONE® device is the only salt therapy generator that can produce such small salt particles.
This means that the salt will reach a larger area of your lungs than any other salt therapy device on the market, helping you breathe easier.
